Ashanti Shequoiya, better called Ashanti, is a famous American singer and actress. She is a musician, singer and actress of the United States. Ashanti was discovered as an 18-year-old and was signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. The same year she also was featured as a guest on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? track and Ja Rule's Always on Time track. Both of them became massive hits. Ashanti Shequoiya is also known as Ashanti and she was born thirteenth October 1980 in Glen Cove New York. Tina Douglas her mother is a dance instructor from the past. Also, Ashanti appeared in some music videos like 8-Off Ghettogirl and K.R.S. Act One MC's They Don't Even Know. The career of Ashanti as a musician was hampered by her inability to achieve commercial success following her being approached by record companies like Bad Boy and Jive. Despite this she continued to sing within and around New York and began hanging around at Murder Inc. Murder Inc. recording studio hoping to get a major break. Ashanti was first seen as a background vocalist on the track Big Pun on the song "How We Roll". Additionally, she was featured in the Fat Joe song "What's Luv?" She was also on Fat Joe's What's Luv? Her debut single Foolish features a sample of DeBarge's 1983 song Stay with Me. Ashanti's self-titled first album was released in 2002 through Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. record label. The Declaration is Ashanti's forth studio album. The album was released by Murder Inc. on June 3, 2008. Hey Baby (After The Club) came out on radio stations and digital platforms on the 16th of October. She was Latasha in Army Wives and starred in the film Christmas in the City. Aitch used her Rock wit U sample in Baby on the 10th day of March 2022.
